LICENCE VALIDATIONS
Flight crew and aircraft maintenance engineers with licences from foreign countries that are ICAO contracting states may apply to San Marino for a validation of their foreign licence.
The San Marino validation will allow existing privileges to be exercised while flying or maintaining a T7 registered aircraft in San Marino.
Applicants for General Aviation can request up to three years validation while applicants for Commercial Air Transport can request a one year validation, however the validity of the validation shall not extend beyond the period of validity of the foreign licence.
The Form SM 15 | Application for a Certificate of Validation permits a flight crew to apply for a certificate of validation.
FLIGHT CREW LICENCE
CAR LIC addresses licences issued by the SMR CAA and is applicable to all pilots of aeroplanes, helicopters, sailplanes, airships and balloons.
The Form SM 58 | Application for Flight Crew Licence permits a flight crew to apply for a PPL, CPL and ATPL licence, and Examiner Authorisation.

CAR LIC addresses licences issued by the SM CAA and is applicable to all pilots of aeroplanes, helicopters, sailplanes, airships and balloons.
An application as an Examiner can be made using Form SM 58 | Application for Flight Crew Licence.
APPROVED TRAINING ORGANISATIONS
CAR LIC Subpart N provides the requirements for the issuance of an approval for a training organization.
